Performance – or Development reviews can get formulaic and lose their purpose or can be one sided, avoidant and awkward. This practical session dives deeply into how to make them empowering so they deliver positive benefits. Managed well, they encourage initiative, empower self-reflection and allow self-awareness and they build a culture of development. This will empower employees to get the most out of their appraisals – so they see them as an opportunity rather than a threat.
YOU WILL LEARN:
- How to apply the 3 key principles that enable the employee to feel empowered: that they feel heard and understood, they feel in control and they evaluate themselves
- How to develop a supportive mind set and a constructive viewpoint
- The skills to deliver clear feedback that can be heard and discussed openly
- The session will include written guidelines
