As the business world starts to rethink, reshape and regrow we need to ask what and where are the opportunities for advertising in the future? Where will the growth be? How will the world’s accelerated adoption of technology impact on the industry, our clients and society?

Will advertising still exist as we know it? Has it become too tainted with lies, misogyny, prejudice and greed to overcome the negativity and mistrust? Have the big holding companies, who have chased profit for shareholders rather than invest in people slowly fragment and disappear? Are independent agencies with creativity at their core the future?

In this Greenjam session we’ll kick-start the debate about the future and explore how we can be best prepared to face it.

David Harris

A champion of creative thinking, David has been managing creative departments and sitting on agency boards for the past 25 years. He started his career in traditional ad agencies as an Art Director. As Creative Director he took IMP London to the top of Campaign’s Direct Creative League then jointly founded LIDA, M&C Saatchi’s most successful creative and commercial start-up. He joined Wunderman as ECD as it merged three agencies into one and grew its digital creative reputation; joined FCB as CCO for a short stint before moving to gyro a specialist B2B agency; and took 6 months out to write a screenplay before joining Deloitte as Creative Director of their internal agency.
