The advertising industry in the UK has the most robust self regulatory system in the world that is overseen by ASBOF (Advertising Standards Board of Finance).

The role of ASBOF is to collect and distribute the advertising levy that funds the ASA, CAP, Mail Preference Services and ensures our self regulatory system is adequately funded to keep advertising standards high.

Mark Lund is Chair of ASBOF, a role he took up after a long and illustrious career in advertising, having started and sold agencies (DLKW) and being President of McCann Worldwidegroup UK & Europe.

Interestingly Mark was also CEO of the one of the UKs largest advertiser (the UK Govt) when he headed up the COI.
