EXCELLENCE TRAINING : Excellence in Account Leadership (London)
An intensive face to face training course aimed at Account Directors, Senior Account Directors and Group Account Directors. The course focuses on enhancing both skills and confidence in two key areas:
- Personal leadership skills development
- Team leadership and team development
FORMAT
- Structured and interactive training course delivered via Power point plus interactive group, pair and individual exercises
- Pre course Audit set and completed by delegates
- Preparation task for each training session set in advance
- Submission of PDP 1 week after course to receive Excellence in Account Leadership Certificate
CONTENT OUTLINE
Section 1 Becoming a Leader
- The transition from manager to leader
- Leadership qualities – what makes a good leader
- Leadership styles – characteristics plus pros and cons
- Understanding your own leadership style
- Flexing your leadership style internally and externally
Section 2. Leading Your Team
- Building and creating an effective team
- Good team leadership practices
- Leading teams through effective delegation
- Motivating teams as a leader
Section  3 Developing your Team
- Managing and monitoring team performance
- Coaching and mentoring team talent
- Dealing with negative feedback – internal and external
- Tackling team underperformance
DELEGATE LEVEL
- Account Director/Senior Account Director/Group Account Director with at least twelve months experience at senior level and currently managing several line reports.
- Group size 8 delegates maximum

TRAINER:
Fran Longford spent 15 years heading up Client business at various top agencies, leading teams on everything from alcohol and finance to grocery and telecoms. Fran then became joint MD of Triangle Communications, an independent integrated agency and was responsible for both existing and new Client retention and agency staff development. In 2000 she moved on to set up FL Training to pursue her passion for people development. She runs training programs and coaching for the marcoms industry to enable mangers and teams to perform at their best and to inspire them to motivate and empower their teams.
