EXCELLENCE TRAINING : Excellence in Account Management

An intensive live online training course aimed at Senior Account Exec/Account Manager level which focuses on developing and expanding the wider range of skills required day to day at Account Manager level:

  • Managing yourself
  • Managing presentations
  • Managing your team
  • Managing clients

FORMAT

Structured live virtual training sessions delivered through Zoom

  • Content delivered via screen share Power point and group discussion plus short, small group break out exercises
  • Preparation task for each training session to be set in advance
  • Individual critique of presentation style/technique via five-minute assessed screen share presentation
  • Post course tasks to be completed and submitted one month after the course to receive the Excellence in Account Management Certificate

DELEGATE LEVEL

  • Senior Account Exec/Junior Manager/ Account Manager up to 12 months after promotion to Account Manager
  • Group size 8 delegates maximum

DURATION

  • Four virtual training sessions of 2 hours duration each plus individual delegate critiqued presentation session with trainer
  • Course run on 5 consecutive days over one week

  • 1st November : 9am – 11am
  • 2nd November : 9am – 11am
  • 3rd November : 9am – 11am
  • 4th November : 9am – 11am
  • 5th November – 9am – 11am (Individual 5-minute critiqued presentations – slots assigned)

Day 1 – Managing Time

  • Task planning systems
  • Planning and allocating time
  • Planning for contingencies
  • Prioritising for yourself and others

Day 2 – Managing Presentations

  • Attributes of good presenters
  • Preparation and rehearsing
  • Personal style – stance, body language, voice etc
  • Audience management
  • Controlling nerves
  • Handling questions and challenges

Day 3 – Managing Upwards and Downwards

  • Managing relationships upwards and downwards
  • Effective delegation – when and how to delegate effectively
  • How to motivate on a daily basis
  • Upwards management: – communication/ involvement/relationships

Day 4 – Managing Clients

  • Client needs and expectations
  • Building relationships with Clients
  • Adding value for Clients
  • Dealing with dissatisfied Clients

Day 5 – Individual Critiqued Presentations

  • Individual session to critique each delegate’s 5-minute virtual presentation
  • Each presentation assessed and critiqued by the Trainer against style and technique checklist

TRAINER:

Fran Longford spent 15 years heading up Client business at various top agencies, leading teams on everything from alcohol and finance to grocery and telecoms.  Fran then became joint MD of Triangle Communications, an independent integrated agency and was responsible for both existing and new Client retention and agency staff development.  In 2000 she moved on to set up FL Training to pursue her passion for people development.  She runs training programs and coaching for the marcoms industry to enable mangers and teams to perform at their best and to inspire them to motivate and empower their teams.
