Membership Survey Feedback

You Gave Us Your Feedback. We Listened.

Thank you to everyone who took part in our 2026 Membership Survey.

We’re delighted that the vast majority of members are satisfied with their Alliance membership, and thank you for the positive feedback on the Alliance team. But just as importantly, we’ve listened carefully to where you told us we can improve.

Here’s what we’re doing in response.

🤝 You asked for more opportunities to collaborate with other agencies

Many members told us they wanted more ways to connect, share expertise, explore partnerships and create commercial opportunities with fellow independents.

We’ve launched the Agency Collaboration Group.

This new member-led initiative is designed to help agencies:

  • Build meaningful relationships with other members
  • Share opportunities and expertise
  • Explore partnerships and service swaps
  • Create new business opportunities together

The Agency Collaboration Group is already bringing agencies together in a more structured and purposeful way.

📧 You told us there are too many emails

One of the clearest themes from this year’s survey was communications overload. Members value being kept informed but want communications to be more targeted and easier to navigate.

We’re taking action by improving how we segment and target our communications.

Our aim is to:

  • Send more relevant information to the people who need it
  • Reduce unnecessary email volume
  • Make it easier to identify opportunities that are most relevant to your role and agency

Our weekly newsletter goes out on Monday mornings, please do ensure this isn’t going to your junk so you can get an overview of pertinent benefits & member events.

We’ll continue reviewing our communications approach throughout the year, if we haven’t had a staff list from you in a while please do send this to our Membership Manager: kirsty@allindependentagencies.org – please do always keep her informed of starters & leavers, & of whom should be on what invite lists.

📊 You said People Pulse is one of the most valuable membership benefits

Members consistently highlighted benchmarking and People Pulse as key reasons they value membership.

We increased People Pulse frequency.

Following member demand for more regular benchmarking and insight, People Pulse now runs three times a year, up from two surveys last year, providing agencies with more timely insight into employee sentiment and industry trends.

💷 You asked us to help agencies do more for less

Members told us they value practical support that helps improve agency performance and profitability.

We’ve launched Deal House.

Deal House brings together exclusive offers, discounts, partnerships and opportunities designed specifically for independent agencies, helping members access valuable services and solutions while keeping costs under control.

🎓 You told us training matters

The Alliance Learning Lab was valued very highly this year, with almost half of respondents highlighting it as one of the key reasons they value membership.

Led by experienced agency practitioners with over 30 years in the industry, our trainers have managed some of the UK’s largest and most complex client accounts. They’ve been in your shoes and understand agency life inside out, which is why the Learning Lab offers practical, relevant training that you can apply straight away.

Members have access to a wide range of training at preferential rates, plus 10 free training places per agency each year. And if there’s a topic you’d like that isn’t currently on offer, we’re always happy to discuss bespoke training tailored to your agency’s needs.

🌍 You asked us to think beyond London

We heard requests for more regional accessibility and opportunities for members outside London to engage with the Alliance.

We’re already making progress, with training and roundtable events taking place in the North, and our Indie Agency Club at MAD//North earlier this year bringing members together outside the capital. We’re also planning activity in the South West as we continue to expand our regional programme, making it easier for more members to connect, learn and get involved.

We’re always Listening

Due to member recommendation we’ve also just launched the Public Affairs Action Group whether you’re running campaigns, advising clients, or building brands, the decisions made in Westminster and Whitehall are shaping the landscape you work in. New legislation, shifting policy priorities, and ministerial agendas can change your clients’ businesses overnight. Do you know how to navigate that? That’s something we can help with.

🧡 We’ll keep listening

Perhaps the most encouraging finding from the survey was that members care enough to tell us how we can improve. Nearly half of respondents offered constructive suggestions, helping shape our plans for the year ahead.

Your feedback directly influences our priorities, and we’ll continue to share how member input drives Alliance initiatives.

Thank you for helping us make the Alliance stronger for every member & the community as a whole.

Please share!
