Alliance of Independent Agencies launches findings report following marcoms wellbeing research survey

The report found that in the past 12 months, 96% of marcomms professionals had experienced poor mental health, whilst 41% of those who didn’t take time off for their mental health said this was because they had too much work to do.

In early 2021, The Alliance of Independent Agencies, partnered with strategic insight agency, Opinium, in order to explore mental wellbeing in the marcoms sector. The aim of research was to explore attitudes to wellbeing over the past 12 months, whilst also exploring attitudes on returning to the workplace following lockdown easing.

Key findings include:

Heavy workloads and impending deadlines are the main stressors
Employees don’t speak about the mental wellbeing at work
Employees want to see their agency do more to tackle burnout culture
