EXCELLENCE TRAINING : Excellence in Account Management (London)
An intensive face to face training course aimed at Senior Account Exec/Account Manager level which focuses on developing and expanding the wider range of skills required day to day at Account Manager level:
- Managing yourself
 - Managing presentations
 - Managing your team
 - Managing clients
 
FORMAT
- Structured and interactive training course delivered via Power point plus interactive group, pair and individual exercises
 - Preparation task for each training session to be set in advance
 - Individual critique of presentation style/technique via 5-minute assessed presentation
 - Post course tasks to be completed and submitted one month after the course to receive the Excellence in Account Management Certificate
 
DELEGATE LEVEL
- Senior Account Exec/Junior Manager/ Account Manager up to 12 months after promotion to Account Manager
 - Group size 8 delegates maximum

Section  1 Managing Time
- Task planning systems
 - Planning and allocating time
 - Planning for contingencies
 - Prioritising for yourself and others
 
Section 2 Managing Presentations
- Attributes of good presenters
 - Preparation and rehearsing
 - Personal style – stance, body language, voice etc
 - Audience management
 - Controlling nerves
 - Handling questions and challenges
 
Section 3 Managing Upwards and Downwards
- Managing relationships upwards and downwards
 - Effective delegation – when and how to delegate effectively
 - How to motivate on a daily basis
 - Upwards management: – communication/ involvement/relationships
 
Section 4 Managing Clients
- Client needs and expectations
 - Building relationships with Clients
 - Adding value for Clients
 - Dealing with dissatisfied Clients
 
Individual Critiqued Presentations
- Individual session to critique each delegate’s 5-minute in person presentation
 - Each presentation assessed and critiqued by the Trainer against style and technique checklist

TRAINER:
Niki Hurst Smith spent 15+ years working in a number of highly regarded independent agencies servicing a range of blue chip clients and managing large teams. After this Niki transferred into senior positions within the People Team at two highly regarded agencies. Â For the last 10 years Niki set up her own consultancy supporting agency and business leaders to create an environment where high performing teams can deliver exceptional work, grow the business and build healthy, happy teams balancing her HR expertise with her knowledge and experience of working as a senior client handler.Â
As part of this Niki regularly develops and delivers a range of bespoke training sessions for all levels and roles. She also facilitates a range of bespoke workshops on a range of business topics / challenges.  Niki has unique expertise drawn from her time leading agency teams and her role as a HR Consultant where she interacts daily with leaders and employees in a wide range of agencies. This means she can ensure that agencies are not only focused on their people but their product and profit too. Niki uses this expertise to ensure her training is practical, impactful and fit for purpose.
