The “retail media revolution” what’s in it for Independent Agencies? – with Halo
The “retail media revolution” is here but what does it really mean for Independent Agencies and how can they best position themselves to take advantage of this $61billion potential prize pot.
Having operated in a very restrictive environment for decades, brands and their agency partners can now engage customers in store in ways previously unheard of. These tremendous new opportunities are not without their challenges. How do you navigate this new landscape? – let Mike Anthony, CEO of engage and best-selling author of ‘The Shopper Marketing Revolution’, chart a course that will highlight the key areas to consider to maximise success.
This revolution is not just about selling ad space; it’s about creating a new ecosystem where commerce, media, promotions, and advertising converge to enhance customer engagement and provide more value to both retailers and brands. As we move towards a cookie-less world, the strategies and technologies used in retail media are evolving to maintain a balance between personalisation and privacy – so what does that mean for your next promotional campaign?
With new opportunities that allow for enhanced and bespoke customer engagement it’s going to create great uncertainty – How many customers will participate, enter, redeem, or claim an offer? Let Andrew Ryan from Halo Promo Risk share how they can provide a safety net for creative ideas and cost certainty on new exciting shopper marketing campaigns whilst helping to mitigate the risk of the retail media revolution.

For the first time since 2014 advertising is no longer the least trusted industry (Energy & Banking are fighting for that position).
This improvement in the public’s greater trust in advertising can for a large part be down to the work of the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).
We are delighted to welcome the ASA’s CEO Guy Parker as our guest In The HotSeat. Guy is responsible for executing the ASA’s strategy – AI-assisted, collective ad regulation & oversees all functions of the ASA system.
We will explore with Guy;
- The background to the ASA and its challenges with growth of AI
- A world without cookies
- Keeping on line advertising safe in a world without borders.
- Examples of ASA adjudications that reflects changes in society (ie Calvin Klein FKA Twig ad & Persil greenwashing claims etc).
All this and it’ll be a chance to get to know the person that is leading the team that is keeping our industry legal, decent, honest & truthful.
