On 4th July 2023 the excellent work of independent agencies will be celebrated like never before. The Independent Agency Award winners will be announced live on the Hexagon stage at MAD//Fest
The celebration will continue at JuJu’s Bar & Stage in Truman Brewery – a 400 person capacity beautifully converted cavernous warehouse with outside decking area and cosy beer garden for those wishing to take break from “MAD//ness” and indulge in conversation with friends new and old.
Included in your tickets are:
- Entry, drinks and canapes to the Awards Event where the winners will be announced on 4th July 6pm-8pm in the Hexagon stage
- Entry, food and drinks at the official Awards After Party at JuJu’s Bar Truman Brewery 8pm – 11pm
- Entry to all 3 days of MAD//Fest (Tickets to MAD//Fest are not valid for entry to the Awards Event and Afterparty)

INSPIRING YOUR TEAM: Leadership, Teamwork and Motivation
This short and pithy session is ideal for those who have cracked the basics of
managing the process of developing ideas but are now finding it hard to
manage people and teams
Paul will provide some simple thoughts and skills around becoming a more
effective leader of people and teams.
We will not be recording this session so please do attend online on the day.
After the session we hope attendees will have a greater confidence to lead, inspire, and to understand how to spot a motivated and demotivated team.
Paul Burns: Paul spent 25 very successful and exciting years at Saatchi & Saatchi looking after client business. He became their Training Director and first Director of Knowledge Practices, sitting on the main Management Board of the Agency.
He is recognised to have passion and skill in developing people and won several industry awards for Learning and Development.
Paul has run accounts across a wide variety of businesses, from the hugely successful bid and launch of the National Lottery, to fast turnaround business on News International. Having led teams on large and complex financial brands and has run countless Blue Chip FMCG brands.
Paul launched The Burns Unit tlc and in 2009 and has built up an enviable client list. The Burns Unit tlc works with many of our key trade bodies in the UK, Europe and the Far East including; the Alliance, IPA, ISBA, EACA, the 4A’s and also with over 60 leading agencies from traditional above the line agencies, to large and small media agencies, specialist digital and search agencies as well as a number of blue chip client organisations.

About the group: Our Wellbeing Group meet quarterly to remain constantly informed of the latest tools and resources to assist them in their vital work of maintaining the wellbeing of their agency people. They share, discreetly, the issues they face and mentor each other in best practice. They provide vital input our the Alliance programme of support which includes the annual Festival of Happiness.
