TRAINING : The Power of Active Listening

Ironically, listening is the most important communication skill you can have. Research suggests that we retain only 25 to 50% of what we hear – which may explain why an estimated £37 billion is lost each year due to miscommunication in the US and UK.

It is seen as the No 1. leadership skill by many because of the trust built in others and how valued they feel when they are truly heard and the shift in how you connect and what you hear when you actively listen. How well leaders and agency teams listen has a major impact on effectiveness, teamwork, influence, on the quality of relationships, on levels of collaboration, efficiency, productivity, and of course, client delivery.

YOU WILL LEARN:

  • What qualities and skills make you a great listener
  • The psychology of listening – why it so powerful
  • How to overcome the most common barriers to active listening
  • Simple tools and techniques that enable you to master the 5 rules of listening: Pay attention, Non judgement, Show you’re listening, Clarification, and Asking questions.
