DOING WELL, DOING GOOD.
Learn how the agency Nice and Serious created their Moral Compass and how they stick to it by ensuring that every piece of work they take on is voted on by the whole team. It’s powerful and effective and gives the entire agency a single sense of purpose. And it works for the business too.
Tom is the Co-Founder and CEO of Nice and Serious, a B-Corp certified agency that makes creative work the world needs. Since 2008, he’s worked with hundreds of purpose-driven brands and charities – including Innocent Drinks, Ben & Jerry’s, IKEA, Unilever, WWF and the WHO – to creatively communicate the positive impact they have on the world.

Rare Opportunity to learn from Leading Deaf Led Organisation Remark! on how to make your workplace more inclusive.
Please join us for first DEI Action Group session of 2025 where again we will be focused on making our work places more inclusive.
This time we will be joined by special guests Remark!; The leading Deaf-Led Organisation for British Sign Language Services and Training. In this session we will learn how we can make our workplaces more accessible by reviewing our employee life cycle for opportunity specifically focused for the deaf and those with hearing difficulties, there will also be an opportunity for a short Q & A. This is a rare opportunity to spend some time with experts focused on this important topic.
Who should attend?
As always we encourage every member agency to attend our DEI Action Group Sessions, whether you are the MD or HR leader or anyone who wants to champion and build more inclusive workplaces; this content will be actionable straight away. We ask you to look around your agencies and consider how accessible yours truly is to the deaf or those with hearing difficulties, who is not currently in the room and what are you missing out on.
Why Remark!?
Remark offer really affordable and compelling training for all employees, a fantastic way to take action to make your workplace more inclusive and bring your teams together to make a real difference. We are delighted that Remark! are an Alliance Recommends Partner (more details to follow on this shortly)
Remark! are highly recommended by Members- this will be a great session!
Mark Watson, Managing Director, tms “ The impact that Remark! had on our team in one 90-minute session was truly outstanding and long lasting. Understanding respectful and better ways to communicate with a d/Deaf person, all grounded in the history of oppression this community has faced, this training opened up whole new level of inclusion at tms.”

Size Matters…
Across small, medium, large agencies – the new business playbook is changing. Find out how and benchmark your own performance.
Some questions we’ll be looking to answer together:
- Are small agencies being too cautious?
- How do medium agencies win pitches?
- Stooping to conquer, but at what cost for large agencies?
About the session: You may recall we partner with new business experts jfdi to assist with their ‘jfdi/Opinium New Business Barometer’ – a valuable report to help agency new business professionals drive growth and success backed with industry insight. It is the longest-running, biggest and most comprehensive report of its kind. After a rallying call in November, thank you to all of you who completed their short survey, which fed into the report.
Through our association with jfdi & Opinium, we were pleased to be able to exclusively offer all Alliance members a dedicated one-hour session to hear and interrogate the findings from this year’s New Business Barometer while they are ‘hot off the press’.
The meeting kicked off with a 20-minute presentation of the key findings covering:
- The health of new business across small, medium, and large agencies
- New business targets & marketing spend
- New business strategies being employed to greatest effect
- Number of opportunities pursued, pitched for, and converted
- New business challenges & priorities in 2024
The presentation will be followed by a roundtable discussion, giving you the opportunity to share your own thoughts and insights based on the findings.
