TRAINING : Coaching Skills for Leaders
In order for agencies to grow in these times of rapid change, increasing client demands and heavy workloads, leaders have to be able to trust that their teams will make robust decisions and perform at their best.
Taking a coaching approach naturally empowers and motivates teams, enabling them to think for themselves and build initiative, and a sense of autonomy. Leaders-as-coaches increase self-responsibility and self-belief in their people by giving choice wherever possible, while also providing a good balance of support and challenge. This in turn helps create a growth-oriented environment, makes employees feel valued and retains talent.
Leaders of teams will:
- Understand the principles of how and why a coaching approach works
- Experience and experiment with 3 core coaching skills – active listening, using questions to boost initiative and a non-judgemental perspective to build trust
- Know how to apply these skills in specific scenarios to improve performance and productivity
DELEGATE LEVEL
Anyone who leads a team.
