TRAINING : How to Listen so Clients Talk
In an increasingly competitive climate, building trust and partnerships with clients has never been more important. This session will help you have conversations where clients will feel heard and will be more open, honest and communicative. Building trust enables you to head off potential issues early, get more ideas through, reduce stress and be more assertive, as well as developing new business.
YOU WILL LEARN
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Know how to listen and ask the right questions so clients open up
- Help clients identify what they want and their potential challenges
- Manage emotions that arise in difficult client conversations
- Start to enjoy ‘serving’ clients to build new business
CONTENT
This 60-minute interactive session includes:
- Learning the skills of active listening and asking open questions
- Knowing how to practice ‘radical empathy’ and not taking things personally
- The ‘no blame’ method of being assertive and saying ‘no’
- Using real life situations to come up with real world solutions
- Working interactively and creatively in pairs
- Developing an action plan to implement immediately

Sharon Baker worked in creative agencies for 20 years as an award-winning content producer, client services director and led a creative agency within Zinc Media as MD, working with prestigious brands like Coca-Cola, Sainsburys, Vodafone and HSBC. She transitioned 10 years ago into people development and coaching. She specialises in working with CEO’s and leadership teams in creative agencies and corporations like the BBC, Barclays, Esso. She is passionate about facilitating leaders and managers to have the confidence, authenticity and emotional intelligence to perform at their best and lead high performing teams. She has a psychology degree, is a fine artist and has a Post Grad in coaching.
